Resin veneers
Resin veneers or bonding is a process where a thin layer of composite resin that has been properly shaped is placed on the tooth to upgrade its aesthetic image and correct various problems. Resin veneers are used in the same situations as porcelain veneers. Composite resin is the material we also use in our well-known white fillings.
Resin veneers are not manufactured in a dental laboratory but are molded to the shape and size by the dentist depending on the problem we are going to correct. The resin can reproduce the shade and texture of natural teeth, offering a very good aesthetic result.
Their disadvantage is that they absorb the pigments from the diet and thus their color can change over time. They also have less resistance than porcelain veneers as well as a shorter lifespan. That is why we may choose them for more limited aesthetic changes and for corrections in areas that receive smaller chewing forces such as the front teeth. However, in case of wear, the resin veneers can be repaired.
The following are cases of treatments with resin veneers (Bonding).
